Subjects/Topics Taught:

For some of the subjects, a textbook was provided by the school; however, the curriculum was not comprehensive and lacked in-depth study. Oftentimes, I incorporated supplementary lessons to address learning goals.
The last three subjects listed, book club, history, and art history were new subjects available only to the highest-level students. I helped create a curriculum and lesson plans for these classes. I ordered level-appropriate textbooks and prepared interactive lessons. By the middle of the year, our classrooms received an upgrade and started using Smart Boards. This increased the students' engagement in learning and aided the learning process.
Testimonials from students:

"I love learning about art. It helps me understand other cultures." - Laura, age 16, art history class
"Miss Audrey always teaches creatively. I remember all of my writing mistakes!" - Rachel, age 16, TOEFL writing class
"My writing score at [public] school increased! I love writing now." - Paul, age 16, TOEFL writing class
